Welcome to Atlanta

Home of Parathyroid Atlanta

Parathyroid surgery is such a quick and precise procedure that, if you live in or near Atlanta, Georgia, the day of your surgery will close with you sleeping comfortably in your own bed. If you’re traveling to us from out of town, you may already know how easy it is to get to Atlanta via Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (the largest airport in the world and the headquarters of Delta Airlines), Amtrak, or one of the three major interstates that intersect in Atlanta. There are also many wonderful hotels and inns near us. Just ask, and we’ll be happy to make a recommendation.

Atlanta is a major travel and tourism hub. Minimally invasive parathyroid surgery will have you back on your feet so quickly that you may wish to plan on enjoying the city with some sightseeing while you’re here. Make a vacation of it, then go home with your hyperparathyroidism cured.

Food

Atlanta is a city with a vibrant restaurant scene. Whether it’s modern takes on traditional Southern fare, fine international cuisine, barbecue, or just a really good burger or pizza, you’ll find lots of options in Atlanta. Tell us what you like, and we’ll be happy to make a recommendation. For a trip back in time, you can also stop in at The Varsity, the world’s largest drive-in restaurant, which has been serving car-side chili cheese dogs and Frosted Oranges since 1928.

Decatur

Our practice is located just north of Decatur, a small, intown suburb city of Atlanta that is frequently listed as one of the most livable cities in America. Decatur is easily walkable and has a vibrant central town square that often features free concerts. It has many famous restaurants and pubs. It’s also the home of Eddie’s Attic, a music venue that has helped launch the careers of many famous singer-songwriters over the years.

Decatur is home to many excellent festivals, including the AJC Decatur Book Festival, the Decatur Craft Beer Festival, the Decatur Arts Festival, and the BBQ, Blues & Bluegrass Festival. Time your surgery right, and you can enjoy one of these events during your recovery.

My favorite Decatur restaurant is Café Lily. Although you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, my favorite is the pinchitos, their signature dish. And I love to hang out at Twain’s Brewpub & Billiards, which has a wide variety of excellent craft beers.
